Who Can Foster?
To ensure every child is placed in a safe, stable, and nurturing environment, the State of Texas and KIDZ Thrive have established a set of minimum requirements. To begin the licensing process, potential foster parents:
Must pass a criminal background check
Must be a good physical health
Will need to be able to financially provide for a child
Must be at least 21 years of age
